Planets, Aspects and Astrological Houses
Foreword
Due to the inherent complexity of the Astrological Doctrine, it is difficult and partial, through a Computerized Program, to delineate in nuce the personality of the Person, since the multiplicity of Planetary Aspects and Positions are treated and enucleated individually.
In fact, each Planetary Specification entails a detailed explanation that frames exclusively and exclusively that Aspect without setting it in a Complex or Overall Vision. This last solution would outline under every perspective the personality and the potentialities of the Consultant.
In general, by examining the Analysis of the Birth Chart, a personalized treatise is not drawn up that sketches the individuality and the various potentialities of the Consultant because this proceeding would involve the drafting of a long and meticulous examination based on further and deep analyses. These would act as a disorientation to unravel the apparent contrasts that can be inferred from the Specifications of the Planetary Aspects that indicate Opposing Influences.
I assert all this because, in an Astral Picture, in the multiplicity of Planetary Aspects that are created, it is almost inevitable that there will also be inconsistencies founded by that series of Specifications called Antithetical Aspects, that is, by Planetary Interactions that apparently affirm conflicting or contradictory definitions.
Planets and Houses
For example, a Mars in Cancer in the 8th House could coexist in a Birth Chart. On the one hand, without wanting to exceed in multiple details, for Mars in Cancer there would be a weakening of the will and the desire for revenge that would induce the Person to supinely accept almost all events, without wanting to fight.
On the other hand, with Mars placed in the 8th House, the same assumes a metamorphic value, precisely because of the intrinsic nature of the Astrological House. It produces a great determination that knows no obstacles, a not wanting to accept defeat and never declaring itself won. Moreover, it enumerates the obstinacy of wanting to bend events, laws and phenomena to one’s own will.
Therefore, in order to clarify the reading of the Astral Chart it will be necessary to distinguish well between the dichotomy of the Edifying and Assertive Aspects called Positive Aspects and the other adverse and Restrictive Aspects called Negative Aspects, searching for them among the Angularities that are created on the Birth Chart of reference.
From this we can begin to understand that the Soul and the Human Dispositions are not an immutable monolith that does not imply transformation or evolution. Rather, an Entity in Becoming, full of squeals and contrasts, but poured into a travail that tends towards a final, noble and well defined End. That is, the search for Awareness.
The topic of Planets in Signs and Planets in Houses will be discussed in detail in the specific sections of the site.
The Planetary Aspects
Re-approaching to the prolusive explanation of the Single Planetary Aspects, in order to make the commitment to understanding easier, we must bear in mind that the dashes and lines observed on the Astral Chart make explicit the multiformity of the Aspects.
Bearing in mind the most determining Angularities and leaving aside the Minor Aspects, in synthesis we will have in this case:
Conjunction (0 Degrees): It will be for the most part positive, except for the presence of the Planets designated as “Evil” by Tradition, that is Saturn and Mars, or Uranus in relation to the two previous ones. That is, when there is the presence of Mars in conjunction with Uranus or Saturn in conjunction with Uranus.
But even this clarification assumes a relative value because especially in pain, suffering and deprivation are inherent in the genesis of wisdom and foresight.
The Aspect of Conjunction is associated specifically with the First House of the Birth Chart and the Zodiacal Sign of Aries, therefore, related to the Personality of the Consultant.
It follows that the same influence will be exercised more markedly on the character of the Person, on growth, personal awareness and security than on the production of events.
If we consider a Birth Chart with a strong presence of Conjunction Aspects it will be noticed that the Events in the Consultant’s life will not occur mainly for the edict of Fate but for the resolutions that the Person will take.
The personality will be combative, tending to agonism in order to assert itself on the stage of the world in the eyes of others, to triumph. Individualism overflows into peremptory and martial proclamations.
Personal expression translates into an accentuated solipsism that can decay into impetuous vehemence sustained by passionate and instinctual motions.
The Conjunction is in any case a sign of dynamic and energetic personalities, dedicated to initiative, sometimes impulsive and often discontinuous in action. Spontaneous energy, overflowing, though to be roughened.
The Astral Combination present in the House of Birth not infrequently shapes the forerunners or forerunners of new ideas or creations, healthy carriers of ideas or innovative thoughts.
They are actually forerunners or creators who are the forerunners of new trends or conceptions because they are intolerant of ordinary or social conventions.
The Aspect of Conjunction is created when two Planets do not exceed 10 degrees of tolerance.
Sextile Seeds (30 Degrees): It is an average positive Planetary Combination, of lower intensity than Sextile and of potential support to other sharper and wider Angularities such as Conjunctions and Trigons.
It hinges primarily on an egoic vision that tends to individualism, to dominate to polarize attention to grab possessions and possessions so as to pacify and please the ego and reject any trepidation about passing and paupertas.
I am and therefore possess, I do not admit criticism and no condemnation for my work, which in any case should not be blamed because it is incontestable. This is essentially the thought of those who have relevant Sextile Seeds in their Astral Theme.
It represents a reserve of potential and faculties that will become clear when the first conflicts are unraveled and one will be aware of one’s own value.
In that precise State of Consciousness they will be a valid support to affirm versatility and personal talents.
The Aspect of Sextile Seeds is specifically associated with the relationship that is established between the First and Second House of the Birth Chart and, consequently, related to the Personality of the Consultant.
The Appearance of Sextile Seeds occurs with a maximum tolerance of 2° 30′.
Sextile (60 Degrees): It is also an average positive Planetary Combination, with an intensity higher than Sextile Seeds and which is expressed as an interaction existing between the First and Third House of the Birth Chart.
Therefore, it puts us in conditions to interact with the Circumstant Environment and consequently also to be able to express talents and a certain eclecticism. Also to structure and escape, through fruitful social relations, communicativeness, projects and desires to which we aspire so much.
In particular it is the aspect of innovative ideas, flair and genius, it gives technical skills and manual expertise.
Not infrequently he is inclined to formulate avant-garde ideologies and philosophies or those that stand out beyond the ordinary.
He displays a brilliant and easygoing behaviour, dictated by that perspicacity which is inclined towards irony and wit and does not disdain that healthy desire to know which is the vestibule of erudition and knowledge.
Not infrequently he has versatile personalities who are inclined towards acting or who know how to show off and apply their talents, simultaneously pursuing what they most aspire to.
The Appearance of Sextile occurs with a maximum tolerance of 5°.
Quadrature (90 Degrees): Quadrature is a negative Planetary Combination, in some ways more intense than the Opposition, and is expressed as an interaction between the First and Fourth House of the Birth Chart.
It throws a clear light on what are the lacerations that have been generated within the Birth Family, the wounds that over time are exacerbated becoming, in some cases, unbearable. It lays bare the hidden aspects of our childhood personality, the one that has not yet freed itself and hasn’t conquered affective or relative autarchy in another area.
In nuce the Quadrature is an index of contrariety, of character conflict, of friction between personalities, feelings and emotions that we feel. The latter can appear contradictory in the eyes of our fellow human beings and create ripples in social relationships.
If in a Birth Chart we see the presence of a significant number of paintings, this indicates the presence of fears, fears or inferiority complexes disguised as inflexible attitudes and sycamores.
Deprivation, in general, defrauds the necessary formation and growth that allow one to face circumstances full of apprehension and anxiety.
Squareness occurs with a maximum tolerance of 6°.
Trigon (120 Degrees): It is an expression of fervent creativity and activism, fervent, fiery, impetuous, positive, of that Fire which does not consume or annihilate, but exchanges and alchemises.
Since it is externalized in an interaction between the First and Fifth House of the Birth Chart, it represents the force that induces us to work to shape a reality and events conforming to our will, at times vast and imperious, events conforming to our inner aspirations and dispositions. And such dispositions in large part aim at an easy attainment.
As is also well founded that a large presence of Trigons, for the ease with which they resolve events positively and the levity with which they make the Consultant face everything, can lead to a drift characterized by self-indulgence.
The critical aspect of the Trigon focuses on cheerfulness, complacency and self-approval, feelings that risk making the subject bask in their own abilities and masteries, however possessed.
To indulge on the ostentation of talents and merits, which can induce a certain flexing of the grit becoming less combative in view of ambitious aims. Or to deliberately disregard one’s affections.
In any case, a Planetary Appearance shaped and substantiated by a magmatic vortex of flair and fatness.
The Trigon is structured when two Planets do not exceed 7° of tolerance.
Quincunx (150 Degrees): It is without any doubt a Planetary Aspect that I would dare to define Alchemical, because of the anomalous, unusual, Planetary Combination that structure.
The definition of Alchemical Aspect derives from the incompatibility of the involved Elements, that is to say, Fire and Earth, which will have to amalgamate, so that there will be non-canonical results, not preventable, which largely escape a well-defined casuistry.
Indeed, it is structured in a link between the First and the Sixth House of the Birth Chart, which, because of the uneven nature of the Signs involved, leads them to irreconcilability. The Consultant alternates between reckless and irresponsive actions or is subjected to frustrating immobility.
What we can assert with a certain margin of certainty is that the Quincunx induces us to think of a complication of human and relational relationships as well as a retaliation of the events in progress.
The behavior mostly oscillates between the immoderate desire to perform actions that attest to one’s own self-centered subjectivity, to be appreciated and recognized in one’s own value, and the retaliation towards fears, anxieties, lashing disapproval of one’s work and hesitations that induce them to submit to states of deep impotence. Also not excluded are the arrivalist conducts that do not disdain to resort to cunning and treacherous plots.
The Alchemical work to which one is subjected resides precisely in knowing how to reconcile the apparently irreducible Elements which, after the process, can lead to a superior condition such as to give off qualities, an overall vision and a vastness of perception which was almost precluded previously.
The Quincunx Appearance is created when two Planets do not exceed 2° 30′ of tolerance.
Opposition (180 Degrees): The Opposition is at first glance synonymous with antithesis, conflict, altercation and contrast, as in theory it is articulated between Planets present between the First and Seventh House of the Birth Chart, but unlike the Quadrature and the Quincunx the elements involved, Fire and Air, are inherently complementary.
The Consultant finds himself caught up in having to face and untangle human relationships and relationships that are not linear, sometimes ambiguous or even devious where one wants to prevail or betray the other.
The logical consequence of these dynamics is that they result in conflicting events, which are the cause of affliction or which make one afflicted.
Those who have such Planetary Aspects are generally not very docile or complacent to the behavior of others, do not indulge and do not tolerate, are very demanding and rigorous with others.
It follows that wearisome events that can lead to legal disputes are not excluded.
The Opposition Appearance occurs with a maximum tolerance of 10°.
Conclusion
Likewise in the analysis and decoding of the dignity of a Star in the Sign or in the Occupied House, the summa of the Positive or Negative Aspects that the Star receives will be of primary importance.
It is good to say that, in some cases, Astros afflicted by Nefarious Aspects are able to express constructive qualities, and in others, Planets Dignified by Positive Aspects, are not able to give the best of themselves.
This apparent aberration is not attributable to the fatalistic behavior of destiny, but to the inherent strength that man possesses, capable of perfecting the Astral Vibrations.
Do not worry, therefore, if in your Astral Chart you read out of tune, these can be changed thanks to modern Astrological Techniques, and especially thanks to our Spiritual Evolution and our free will.
The topic of Planets in Signs and Planets in Houses will be discussed in an exhaustive way in the specific sections of the site.
